Meet Leon Majcen

Hailing from Florida’s Gulf Coast, Leon Majcen is no stranger to saltwater or six-strings. Raised on hard work and honest living, he found his voice early—playing local bars while still in his teens—drawing inspiration from folk legends like Townes Van Zandt, John Prine, Bob Dylan, and Guy Clark. From those first stages, Leon began chasing songs and stories wherever they led, shaping a style that feels both timeless and distinctly his own.

After time in New York City, work on a commercial fishing dock back home, and eventually a landing spot in Nashville, Leon has built a loyal following the old-fashioned way: great songs, better stories, and a handshake at the end of the night. His latest album, Making a Livin’ (Not a Killin’), is honest and road-worn, rooted in perspective—much like the life he’s living now, traveling with a guitar and a couple fly rods close by. We’re fired up to welcome Leon to the Marsh Wear Crew—an artist and angler who lives the story just as much as he tells it.
